NG in nioh was trivial at best, ER was a push over, sekiro was hilariously simple due to the deflect mechanics (Haha) and DkS is all about raw+element. 'The game doesn't begin until NG+' in NG+ in this game, bosses get tougher, learn new moves, enemy placement changes and you have higher rarity of gear. Seeing as you've played nioh before, you should understand the standard rule of TN games. The game can by good by itself, but i was hoping it be as good as Nioh 2 or better, but it looks like its worse.
